Some useful information for our home owners and tenants

The street sweeper comes around our neighborhood every month on the first Friday, usually not before 10AM

Please don’t leave cars and trash bins in the street, if possible.

Go to the USPS.com web site. You can have the Post Office hold your mail while you are gone, and you can check the first class mail (envelopes) delivered to your house for the last week. If you think someone has been into your mailbox, check USPS.com for delivered items.

Starting Jan 1, 2025 there is no longer ‘free’ first 20 Ccf/month per house. All water will be billed by tiers: First tier 20 Ccf – $6.15/per Ccf; second 20 Ccf – $7.26; third 20 Ccf $7.89; over 60 Ccf will be at $8.39/Ccf.

Ccf is 100 cubic feet =2.832 cubic meters = 748 gallons

Some useful information about our city

The city requires all home businesses be registered and have a city license. The state scans the Internet for businesses that have not registered. Be careful about using unlicensed contractors.

In most cases electrical, major plumbing (like water heaters), and remodels, need to have a building permits. Fixing a water leak, replacing an electric breaker, repairing the furnace, or replacing an appliance do not require a permit. If you pay for a permit, make sure you have a copy for when you want to sell the house.
